The food is amazing. My favorite is the vodka penne. The service is fast and efficient. The Café gets busy, but if they’re seating, it’s a great place to study or do you work while you eat a delicious meal.

This is my 2nd time at For Five, but my first time being in the Garden City one. Its very, very busy so if youre planning on working from here, make sure you come early or after the lunch rush to get a table! You can also sit at the counter but a lot of people will be waiting for their items and taking their drinks around you! Also dont worry about not finding a charger. Literally all the booths, tables along the walls, and even the counter seats have outlets for plus, USB, and USB-C. The staff here are very friendly and you can tell by just watching how they work, joke with each other, and help those who arent satisfied with their order. I had a iced Chai latte and a chopped cheese sandwich, and the chopped cheese is very much worth the money. The chopped cheese comes with a side salad which is nice but I wish there were a bit more tomatoes (but I may be biased as I love tomatoes!). I would definitely come back here as its a nice place to work, study, and bring friends as most of the people in the shop always have another person tagging along with them. And the portions are on the bigger side so you definitely leave satisfied but not sluggish (AKA the dreaded food coma/itis). I

We drove out from the city to have lunch with our friends one day. We arrived too early for lunch so we drove around and found this great coffee spot on very busy 7th street. We found free parking behind the store and entered from the back. It is very large with lots of seating. You place your orders at the counter. Coffee only takes a few minutes and you take it to your table. If you order food, a staff member will bring it to your table. Great service. We only had a scone and Cappuccino coffees as we were waiting to have lunch. Very busy with comfortable seating . Also some seating outside on the sidewalk. We will definitely stop here again the next time we are in the area.

Visit Date: January 20, 2026 I got the LI cafe passport book from my co-worker for Christmas. In January I got to go to two coffee shops in this book, for five was the second one. I went with one of my friends. We both had the mochas and I had a shot of espresso because the book recommended it. The espresso was good, not overly bitter, pretty much just right. The mocha was amazing a good ratio of chocolate, coffee and espresso. It was pretty busy here and the atmosphere was nice. The snacks looked really good maybe one day I'll go back for a pastry. I give for five five stars and five beans and would recommend coming here if you like coffee shops.

I love their bare Espresso station! Amazing sandwich bread, croissants, etc. Confusing entrance and exit: you don't know if you're supposed to seat yourself or what. My friend and I were walking around aimlessly for about half a minute, clueless. Then even more confusion when after you order: they give you a numbered sign to bring back to your table, but they still call out your drink by name... They should let you know this, or have a sign. It's spacious enough, the food's delicious, but that rear door really lets in the wind: Surprise, napkins from a few tables gone. They seem to have a lot of outdoor seating, so I would recommend going during the warmer months.
